4 Reasons to Choose an Undermount Kitchen Sink
Why should you choose an under-mounted sink? There are many different options when it comes to choosing a kitchen sink such as stainless steel, ceramic and many other options. Before deciding which material you’d like, it would be best to decide how you would like your sink mounted to the worktop. The three main sink types are under-mount, top-mount and flush-mount. At Sergio, we believe that under-mount sinks will always be the best looking installation types for the amount of money you spend, and heres why.
Modern
Under-mount sinks provide a seamless transition from worktop to sink , which unlike top-mounted sinks, gives off a modern aesthetic.
Drainer Grooves
If having drainer grooves cut into your kitchen worktops are something you have your heart set on then an under-mount sink is really the only possible way to go.
Cost
While top-mount and under-mount sinks are both in a fairly similar price bracket, flush-mount sinks will come at a much greater cost as a premium will charge due to the custom nature of each sink. Not to mention the possibility of fabrication issues.
Space
Having your sink under-mounted will look and feel more spacious as opposed to having a top-mounted sink with a large lip overlapping the worktop.
These are just 4 reasons why you should choose an under-mount sink. We have many different variations of under-mounted sinks so if you’re interested take a look at our selection here.
